We have extensive experience of renovating and extending various historical properties within the local area.

We have a keen understanding of both what can be achieved, the process of gaining the required permissions, and of working with local Conservation Officers and Councils.

Breathing new life into old properties can be a challenging, but ultimately rewarding  process, combining detailed knowledge of period restoration with often contemporary interventions resulting in wonderful family homes.

The Nelson’s Project

The Pink House  Blackheath

Complete renovation and extension of Grade II listed 4 storey detached house. Working closely with the new owners,  designs were developed to reconfigure the house, with a new part 1/part 2 storey side extension on one side of the property and a new single storey extension on the other.  Planning and listed building consent were gained at the first time of asking leading to the preparation of detailed construction information. Full project services were provided, including gaining competitive tenders and the oversight of the project through the construction phase to a successful completion.

The design work included much detailed joinery design, new period fireplaces, new cornice, hand finished floorboards and complex modern services throughout.
